Stanley P. Mayers, Jr., M.D. ’49: “I bounced around a lot.”

Stanley P. Mayers, Jr., M.D. ’49 was one of 20 high school students who received The Mayor’s Scholarship, which allowed him to attend Penn for a full year before turning 18 and gave him the early opportunity to join Penn Theta Chapter. After that, as he likes to say, he bounced around a lot, leaving him a retired Professor of Public Health Administration and Associate Dean at the age of 90.

On Friday, October 28, 2016, Penn Theta is planning to recognize Brother Steve Saltzman, House Corporation President, for his 30 years of leadership in guiding the Penn Theta Chapter Actives and Alumni. As many of us will acknowledge, Steve has served tirelessly and without compensation...on many occasions, at his personal expense.  Now, it’s our opportunity to recognize him at this special milestone, and Mara for her support too, with a dinner in Steve’s honor.
